"EXPERIENCE GENUINE HAPPINESS WITHIN"

WHAT IS MEDITATION?

Naturally, the mind is restless and does not remain still; it jumps quickly from one thought to another. A restless mind is analogous to the stirred water sullied by impurities, losing its clear-seeing quality. Meditation is a process that calms and stabilizes the mind so that it is no longer disturbed by outside influences.

Meditation is a process of mental development. Through meditation, our minds become trained and refined to its original state of perfection – when the mind is completely still and void of all thoughts. At this state, the mind functions at its full potential and possesses a higher form of wisdom. It is well accepted that the calm state of mind which can be attained during meditation can relieve stress, help sharpen concentration and memory, and increase one’s efficiency.

Examples of meditation benefits:

Stress-related: Concentration-related: Insight-related:
  • Reduced stress
  • Reduces worried, anxiety and anger
  • Prevent depression
  • Improve physical health
  • Sharpen concentration and memory
  • Increase mindfulness
  • Increase mental clarity
  • Increases insight and wisdom
  • Increase sub-conscious intelligence
  • Increases mental power

OREGON MEDITATION CENTER (OMC) offers:

The Guided Meditation, a course of Dhamakaya meditation technique, is one of the most ancient techniques in the world. It has long been proven to be effective and easy to learn. It is about self-discovery, relaxation, and purification of the mind. As such, the practice of this technique is not in conflict with any religion or creed, and is open to anyone who wishes to find happiness within. The Dhammakaya Meditation technique includes practices, sharing experiences, and yoga.

The Guided Meditation session will be conducted in the following months.
